About All Things China
All Things China is a learning platform dedicated to making China accessible, engaging and meaningful for everyone. We believe that learning Chinese is about much more than memorising vocabulary or passing an exam — it's about understanding the history, culture, traditions and people behind the language.
Our courses combine practical Mandarin with Chinese history, character writing, cultural stories and real-life communication, creating a learning experience that is immersive, enjoyable and relevant. Whether you're a student, traveller, professional or simply curious about China, All Things China offers a unique journey into one of the world's oldest and most fascinating civilizations.
Noopur Shalini is a Chinese language educator, researcher and the founder of All Things China. Her passion for China goes beyond the classroom, combining language learning with history, archaeology and cultural exploration.
She has lived and studied in China as an Advanced Research Scholar at Zhejiang University, where her research focused on Chinese Buddhist archaeology and the historical connections between India and China. Her work explores topics such as Buddhist cave architecture, the Silk Road, cultural exchange and the evolution of Chinese civilization.
With years of experience teaching Mandarin to students from diverse backgrounds, Noopur believes that language becomes meaningful when learners understand the stories behind the words — blending practical communication, characters, history and culture into lessons that are engaging, memorable and easy to relate to.
